Music Video Initial Research
Music Video Initial Research Chosen song: Favourite Record by Fall Out Boy. This is a song that I have grown up listening to, and so it has more personal meaning to me. The song is focuses on the memories of a couple who spent a lot of time together over a summer period, and they also danced a lot, which is a reoccurring theme in the song. In my music video, which will be an animatic, it will be narrative (story) based. The story will focus on two main characters, a couple, which will be myself and my significant other Kai. The narrative focuses on what I imagined would happen in the song. This will include lots of dancing, a theme of record disks, and lots of vibrant colours, primarily orange and blue, which is the colours that represent us. Due to being an animatic, and not an animation, the movement in the video will be more simplistic, the screen moving across a larger image, or a character moving as a whole across the screen rather than animated walking.
